8U baseball is taking shape for summer 2027
South Fork Athletics is building a competitive travel baseball team where young players can develop their skills, learn teamwork, and grow on and off the field. We are preparing to begin games in summer 2027; dates and the tournament schedule are still to be determined.
Interested families are invited to our parent interest meeting on Sunday, October 11, at 4 PM at the Elkton Little League Fields. Come hear the plan, meet other families, and ask questions.
- Who can play: Players must be age 8 or younger on August 31, 2027 (born September 1, 2018, or later), using the Little League Baseball age cutoff.
- What to expect: A focus on effort, teamwork, development, and competition. Families should be ready to commit to practices, tournaments, and travel once the schedule is set.
- Getting started: A $50 one-time initiation fee goes to the larger South Fork Athletics organization toward next year’s league fees. Fundraising will aim to reduce equipment and apparel costs. Local vendors will offer a Team Store for extra items.
